Our Space Races platform is a vibrant and strategic environment where players can earn Blast Points and Meka Points - two crucial rewards that significantly enhance their gaming experience. 100% of the proceeds from the SpaceShip sale are held in the developer wallet on the Blast platform, optimising the accrual of Blast Points. These points are then redistributed to players based on their weekly performance in the Space Races leaderboard, directly rewarding top performers. Additionally, Meka Points are accumulated by staking MekaApes within SpaceShips, leveraging Blast’s gas fee redistribution feature to maximize rewards. This section will explore how these reward systems incentivise active participation and strategic gameplay, as well as how Blast Gold rewards can further enhance the value and excitement within Space Races.
Blast Points are digital rewards issued on the Blast blockchain as part of an airdrop system designed to promote and incentivise user participation. Points are awarded based on the balances of ETH, WETH, and USDB held in users' wallets, thus encouraging liquidity and active participation in the Blast ecosystem.
In the OogaVerse Space Races platform, Blast Airdrop Points accrue from SpaceShip sales conducted on the Blast chain. When sales are made, the funds pass to our developer wallet which, due to its balance of USDB, earns Blast Points. This system uses the natural operations of the Blast blockchain to enrich the reward pool available to our players, directly enhancing their gameplay experience.
Accumulated Blast Points are redistributed weekly to players, following a competitive model based on performance in the Space Races. We target the top 15% of players with the best racing times each week, mimicking the distribution approach used with our Mystery Shard prize pool. To facilitate this, we use the Blast API to automatically redistribute our Blast Points based on the updated leaderboard standings. Additionally, the leaderboard is reset at the end of each week, providing all players with a fresh start and equal opportunity to achieve top ranks in the subsequent week.
Meka Points are rewarded within the Space Races platform. Players earn these points by staking their MekaApes to SpaceShips. Points are crucial because they determine how we distribute the gas fee redistribution that we collect during gameplay.
Daily Staking Rewards: Players are rewarded with 2 Meka Points per day for each MekaApe staked in a SpaceShip. This reward system is established to remunerate long-term participation and commitment to the game, ensuring sustained engagement.
Race Participation: Each race entry with a staked MekaApe awards 1 additional Meka Point.
DMT Race Time Rerolls: Each DMT reroll performed during a race contributes an extra Meka Point to the player’s total.
Crafting Mystery Boxes: Crafting a Mystery Box nets the player 40 Meka Points.
Rerolling Mystery Boxes: Similarly, each reroll of a Mystery Box also awards 40 Meka Points, encouraging players to actively participate in enhancing their chances of obtaining better in-game assets.
When MekaApes Ascension launches later this year on Blast, we will redistribute the gas fees collected during the game to players as airdrops. How much each player gets depends on the number of Meka Points they've earned. The more Meka Points you have, the bigger your share of the airdrop.
Blast Gold is an additional reward periodically given out by the Blast platform to projects that significantly contribute to its ecosystem. Receiving Blast Gold will be a major acknowledgment of our active participation and innovation within the Blast environment. It will also provide us with additional resources to enhance the rewards system for our players.
Assuming our myriad of features puts us in poll position to receive Blast Gold, 100% will be distributed to our players based on the number of Meka Points they have accumulated. We plan to involve our community in deciding the timing and method of this distribution - whether to distribute it immediately upon receipt, save it for a larger airdrop immediately before the Blast airdrop, or combine it with the gas fee redistribution at the launch of MekaApes Ascension.
